ZnSe D18 F38.1 focusing lens for CO2 laser machine (engraver) designed to concentrate the laser beam to the minimum point. The lens has a diameter of 18 mm, and an antireflective coating is applied to both surfaces at a wavelength of 10.6 microns. The lens is short-focus and has a focal length of 38.1 mm (1.5″). It is designed for cutting particularly thin materials and engraving surfaces to obtain the maximum clear pattern with a high dpi number and high detail.

The lens is made in a traditional – concavely convex shape. The lens coating is zinc selenide (ZnSe), well suited for laser cutting work, resistant to high temperatures and abrasion, has high optical characteristics, transmissivity and durable coating. The greater the thickness of the material to be cut, the greater the focal length should be, this is necessary to maintain a stable, even cut. To ensure high quality operation of the ZnSe D18 F38.1 focusing lens, it is necessary to monitor the perpendicular direction of the incoming beam from the laser head, which is carried out by fine-tuning the laser mirrors.
