D20 Si Reflective Mirror (Silicon) used in the optical system of CO₂ laser machines to accurately transmit and redirect the beam to a focusing lens at an angle of 90°. The diameter of 20 mm allows it to be installed in most standard laser heads and optical modules used in CO₂ engravers and cutters.
The mirror is made of single crystal silicon (Si), which is coated with a stable gold reflective coating. Silicon has a low coefficient of thermal expansion, is highly stable in geometry when heated and is excellent for high-precision systems. Gold spraying provides a reflectance of up to 98-99.8%, reduces power losses and guarantees uniform beam transmission throughout the optical path.
Silicon mirrors are recommended for low and medium power — laser systems up to 100-150 W, where high reflectivity, resistance to temperature loads and heat removal speed are important. Due to the high thermal conductivity of Si, the mirror dissipates thermal energy faster and is less susceptible to local overheating compared to inexpensive analogues.
Like any mirror optics, silicon reflectors require regular maintenance. CO₂ machines use a set of three mirrors, which over time are covered with combustion products and fine dust. Periodic cleanliness testing and careful cleaning of optics allow you to maintain the maximum reflection coefficient, extend the service life of the mirror and ensure stable cutting quality.
