Description

D25 Si Reflective Mirror (Silicon) used in optical systems of CO₂ laser machines to accurately transmit and redirect the beam to a focusing lens at an angle of 90°. The diameter of 25 mm provides an increased mirror working surface and improved stability when working with more powerful laser tubes, making it suitable for industrial and semi-industrial CO₂ machines.

The mirror is made of single crystal silicon (Si) with a gold highly reflective coating. Silicon is characterized by a low coefficient of thermal expansion and high mechanical stability, which ensures the accuracy of beam reflection even under heating and intense loads. Gold sputtering provides a reflectance of up to 98–99.8% at a wavelength of 10.6 microns and minimizes power losses along the optical path.

The increased diameter of D25 makes such mirrors optimal for lasers with a power of 300–500 W, where high thermal conductivity and the ability to withstand high energy density are important. Silicon effectively dissipates excess heat and is not subject to local deformation, which is critical for long-term continuous cutting or high-speed operation.

Like other mirror optics elements, D25 mirrors require regular maintenance. Most CO₂ machines use a set of three mirrors, which are gradually contaminated with combustion products, smoke and material particles. Periodic cleaning and preventive inspection can maintain high reflectivity, extend the service life of the mirror and ensure stable cutting quality.
